Are these authentic recipes or Westernized?
Authentic. Substitutions are clearly marked. We respect the source — never sub gochujang with sriracha, never westernize without flagging it.
How does the menu scanner work?
Point your camera at a Hangul menu. The scanner OCRs Korean characters and translates with cultural context (e.g., "jjigae" → "family meal centerpiece" not "stew"). Works on takeout receipts too.
Will Banchan add restaurants in my city?
If your city has Korean restaurants, yes. Email contact@universalaillc.com with the restaurant name and we'll add it within 7 days (we manually verify each entry).
